Meet Your Moderators!
musicalmelody: My name is Roxanne! I am mainly a flute player and I’ve been playing in concert band for about 10 years now. I’ve also been playing the tenor saxophone for about 4 years. I’m a huge music nerd and I appreciate all forms of music, however I have a huge soft spot for movie scores.
glitterismyforte Hey, i’m Kat. I am a clarinetist in my high school’s Wind Ensemble. I also play soprano saxophone, piano, and some vibes in winter percussion. I plan on marching Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps someday soon and hopefully becoming a music therapist.
radboyscout: Hi, I’m Nick. I’m a voice major, piano secondary, and I am majoring in Music Theory, Composition, and Conducting. I also run musiceducators and moderate Music Discussions. I sing tenor in my school’s Chorus, Chamber Singers, and Madrigal Singers (early music). I’ve been singing since I was 9 and I still love it more than anything. I love opera, and I’ve done 3 of them at Lincoln Center and I was in the premiere of this new opera company (North Shore Music Festival) at Sands Point Preserve on Long Island (we did Puccini’s Tosca). I am so lucky to be involved in music for the rest of my life!
bandgeekk:Hello, my name is Oscar Soria. I currently reside in Lynnwood, WA. I am a Professional Clarinetist and I’ve been playing Clarinet for 9 years now. I’m the Concert Master of the Edmonds Community Band. I’ve been Prinicipal Clarinet of a few Youth Symphonies. I perform in the Seattle/Puget Sound area with the Skagit Valley Chorale, Cascade Symphony, Village Theatre, Driftwood Players and other orchestras and bands as either a clarinet sub, pit orchestra member or just a part of the ensemble in general. I am a Rico Reed Artist. They are my reeds hands down. I am a Backun Artist and you will find me on their artists and community page. I am a Woodwind Specialist but my forte is clarinets and I’m still learning new things everyday. I have worked with lots of Professional Clarinetists and Professors but have had no formal schooling or lessons. If I don’t know the answer, I can find someone who does. I like to fiddle around on other instruments but I never claim I can play them just because I can get a scale out of them.. I’ve been in a drumline for 6 years but I’m not a drummer. I am a Sales Associate at Kennelly Keys Music in Lynnwood as one of the two Woodwind Specialists and if our IT co-worker comes downstairs..then I become one of three woodwind specialists..haha I help run musicproblems, musicdiscussions, and I run the-little-reed-things and backunmusicalservices(fanpage) and midstokkemusic(fanpage), my personal blog isn’t really appropriate. Its not really music related so i’m sorry if you follow me, see what i post and unfollow me.
Vivian-thao-doan Hey guys, I’m Vivian! I’m a member of my high school marching band’s pit, as a mallet percussionist playing the marimba. I marched bass 3 for our school’s Winter Drumline as well. I do enjoy every aspect of band, and music in general. I love what I do, and I’m honored to be here moderating this site. :)
musicalhogwarts: Hi, I’m Samantha! I’m also a moderator over on Music Discussions. I’ve played the trumpet for 11 years now. In high school, I was in marching band, concert band, jazz band, the Holiday Brass Quartet, a trumpet trio and community bands. I also play the euphonium, and a bit of trombone and piano. I plan on majoring in music education.
